Youth Development Day

The YEA are hoping to host another Youth Voice Development Day next year (2023).

This conference shows young people important life skills in an interactive way and gets them interested in democracy.

In previous years, activities included have been 'Money in your hands' where you decide, if you were in government, how much to spend on each of the given topics, which improves financial skills. Another example is writing a letter to your headteacher persuading them not to ban phones, which aims to improve persuasive writing skills.

Attendees to the conference are welcomed to express an interest in joining the Young Essex Assembly.
